Spring 2008 Greetings from your District Commander 
The training season is winding down and our boating season is about to
begin. Weather permitting.Graduations and AGM’s finish off a productive year. York West District’s annual general meeting will be held on Thursday evening May 8th at the Holiday Inn, Bramalea City Centre at 1830 hours. Hot and cold hors d’oeuvres will be served. This year we have invited Mr. Taylor Echlin JN to relate his experiences last December while aboard the vessel involved in the rescue of the passengers and crew of a cruise ship that sank in the Antarctic. He will begin his video and slide presentation at 1900 sharp so please come early. No organization can function without the support of its members. York West District of CPS has nearly 4000 members and according to their bye laws they must have an annual general meeting each year. All members are encouraged to attend. Thank you for renewing your membership; which is now easier as you may renew on line at www.cpsboat.ca if you wish. I would be delighted to see you at either your squadron or district’s AGM or graduation celebration. Please talk to me if you have a few hours each month to help out in any capacity. We would be delighted to have you join us.
